We, the National Association of Seniors of the Church of God (NASCOG), were present in great numbers on Zion’s Hill August 6-13, 2023, the 107th for Camp Meeting at West Middlesex, and we:
> Enjoyed the delicious, free lunch on Tuesday provided by Guy Gibbs Catering;
> Were very grateful for the cart transportation to and from the Tabernacle, chauffeured many times by Senior drivers;
> Who attended the daily 6:00 AM Prayer led by Bishop Gideon Thompson;
> Volunteered in The Administration Office, assisting with registration and concerns;
> Were blessed through the diligence of Doris Davis and Gradye Stephen, who ensured the beautification of the grounds by obtaining an enormous amount of flowers that made the entrance and drive around the campus a wonder to behold, which encouraged homeowners to improve the appearance of their homes;
> Pledged to support the Capital Campaign for Rebuilding those spaces lost in the 2022 fire.
> Relaxed in the 30 new large blue Coleman camp chairs and the 10 smaller red camp chairs placed on the grounds outside the Tabernacle. These chairs were donated by members of different congregations around the country and will remain the property of the National Association;
> Had Seniors serving as Ushers every day during each of the worship services;
> Had Seniors serving on the Tuesday Platform reading scripture, lifting the offering, and for the intercessory prayer;
> Joined in singing in the choir;
> Volunteered in the Giving House, assisting people signing up for Capital Campaign pledges, additional giving, and attending the NIYC Convention in December;
> Gathered on Saturday outside the Big Tent for information about the future and how we can help provide assistance for 2024;
> We discussed how to keep the Seniors aware and up to date on the rebuilding process. I promised to send pertinent information and obtained their contact information to ensure they stay up to date.
> We look forward to passing the baton while continuing the monthly prayer covering for our beloved Association.
