FORGED TOGETHER: A Brotherhood Is Being Built

Something is stirring among the men of NACOG.

At this year's National Campmeeting, the National Men's Ministry gathered men throughout the week for three distinct experiences designed around prayer, formation, brotherhood, and mission. What unfolded was more than a series of men's gatherings. It gave us a glimpse of the brotherhood we believe God is calling us to build across NACOG.

THE MORNING WATCH called men to take their place as spiritual watchmen; men who pray, remain alert, and stand faithfully on the wall.

FORGED FOR THE MISSION challenged us through the story of David's mighty men to recognize that God does not simply call strong men; He forms surrendered men. We were reminded that “before I am a mighty man, I must be a submitted man” and that none of us were designed to become who God has called us to be alone.

THE BROTHERHOOD SUMMIT brought the week together with a call from Haggai 1:14: "And the LORD stirred up the spirit..." Men gathered around tables, shared their voices, and began imagining what a connected, intergenerational, and increasingly intercultural brotherhood could look like throughout NACOG.

But Campmeeting was not the finish line. It was a beginning.

FORGED TOGETHER: JOIN THE 300

The National Men's Ministry is currently pursuing an initial goal of connecting 300 men across NACOGthrough our Forged Together: Join the 300 campaign.

Why 300? Because before we build programs, we want to build relationships. Before we plan for men, we want to listen to men. And before we talk about a national brotherhood, we want to begin connecting the men who will help shape it.

Whether you are 18 or 80, a pastor or a layman, already involved in men's ministry or simply looking for stronger Christian brotherhood, there is a place for you in what we are building.

We are calling men across NACOG to Join the 300, get connected, and help us reimagine what men's ministry can become.

A NEW DIGITAL HOME FOR NACOG MEN

We have also launched the new NACOG National Men's Ministry website, a growing digital home designed to connect men across congregations, communities, and regions.

Through the website, men can Join the 300, register for upcoming national and regional gatherings, access ministry resources, stay connected with what is happening across the brotherhood, and discover new opportunities to grow, serve, and lead. And this is only the beginning.

AWAKEN. ALIGN. ACTIVATE. ADVANCE.

Everything we are building is centered around four movements that will help shape the future of the National Men's Ministry:

·      AWAKEN men to their identity and purpose in Christ.

·      ALIGN men with God's truth, character, and purposes.

·      ACTIVATE men to live out their faith through service, leadership, and brotherhood.

·      ADVANCE God's Kingdom by multiplying healthy, purpose-driven men who influence their families, churches, communities, and the world.

We believe healthy churches are strengthened by healthy families, healthy families are strengthened by healthy men, and healthy men are formed through Christ-centered discipleship and authentic brotherhood.

THE CONVERSATION IS CONTINUING

In the months ahead, the National Men's Ministry will continue creating opportunities for men across NACOG to connect, speak, listen, pray, and build together through national listening sessions, regional conversations, digital content, discipleship resources, and new opportunities for brotherhood and service.

We are not interested in simply creating another ministry calendar filled with events. We are building men. We are strengthening brotherhood. We are preparing men for the mission.
